Applying Dr. Holmes-Farley's Two Part Recipe
 

I was able to find calcium chloride at a local pool store, sold under the brand name Suncoast, not Dowflake. The bucket says 77% calcium chloride and 23% inert ingredients...8lbs for 12$

Im following the [url=http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/april2004/chem.htm]instructions[/URL] for Dr. Holmes-Farley's supplement recipe number two.

Alk is 9.2 dKH and calcium is 380ppm; obviously both should be a little higher.

There are a few fish in the system, and an assortment of zoos, polyps, xenia, a brain, and two rose anenomes.

Im looking for suggestions about how best to dose to achieve the elevated levels necessary, and then a best everyday dosing amount.

The tank is 110g, and I top off about two quarts a day with kalk.

Maybe. Those values are not bad, especially the alkalinity. I usually recommend 7-11 dKH.

No one can say how much you'll need for routine dosing, as that can only be determined by trial and error. Once the levels are where you want them, then you might start at 50 mL of each part per day and see what happens.

Enter B-ionic as the additive, and then multifply the result by 3 (2.9 actually) to get the amount that you need to add to get to the goal that you set. :)
