Choc Chip Starfish

I have been reading that Choc Chip Starfish can kill snails and small fish. Since I have both in my aquarium would it be a good idea to return the Starfish to my LFS. I asked the guy at my LFS about this specifically and he said the only thing I have to worry about is other fish attacking the starfish. I don't want to have to keep replacing my cleaning crew.

The chocolate chip also feeds on corals! People have posted that they have kept it with no problems. I've never had one.

i have one....he seemed to have attacked a few turbo snaisl but has lef the astreal snails alone...mind you it could also be my blue hermits in my tank that killed the snails......

but yeah they feed on coral.s......good to spot feed them once in a while.....i like mine...very active in the tank...cool to watch it eat on the glass.

They are opportunistic predators. Not much is safe from them.
