Tried something new for aiptasia

Tried cryotherapy...yup used the stuff I freeze warts off with. So far looks pretty good. In the past when I use Joe's juice or other variation of the theme, I end up with more aiptasia. I'm pretty sure that happens because of small fragments of the aiptasia that break off. (Despite care in suctioning). When you burn them they stink and you blacken the rock. When you freeze them none of that happens.
So far so good....goodness knows I have a lot to practice on...

Maybe a dumb question, but you remove the rock from your tank, right?

Cool idea (literally :))

Good idea. I think they sell a home product like that now. I wonder if that will work as well.

I tried a new method about two months ago myself. I took the rock out of the tank and patted it dry with a paper towel. I then rubbed kosher salt (iodine free) on the aiptasias. After a few minutes they released from the rock due to the irritant and were easily picked off. It worked pretty well with a coral free rock, but I'm hesitant to try it on a rock with live corals.

Keep us posted on your method. I've had the same problem with Joe's Juice, and would love to hear if it works.
