GRRR, I hate inverts

So, who's the likely culprit? Blue leg crab (always iffy), scarlet (been the best crabs I have), cleaner shrimp (likely), or skunk (possible). I guess bristleworms are always possible too.

Beautiful colony of mini micros I got a while back from ICU2 (DOC's blackjacks to be specific). They've been growing well, and had formed 4-5 big polyps. They each sucked down part of a small mysis when I hand fed a few things (which I don't do that often). The next day, all the centers are gone, and I can literally see a small ring of left over micro flesh. It looks like in the night, something came and ripped the partially eaten mysis right out of the middle of them.

I'm going to leave it in the tank in case they somehow make it, but highly unlikely. :mad2: :mad2:

man you just never know what can happen in a tank full of sw

if it were my tank. I would definately hold my cleaner shrimp responsible. seen mine do it before.

yup... that stinks! It may come back-hope so. That is the reason I always feed my shrimp heavily before feeding the corals.

They always get shoved full of mysis at the same time.

lol... rip the tips of their antennae off a couple times

mine are trained not to come out for a long while

i'd say it was most likely the shrimp.
