ozone, rotifers and bacteria.

what does:

The effect of OPOs on rotifers (Brachionus plicatilis) has also been determined.58 No effect on survival was seen at less than 0.22 ppm OPO, but effects became significant above that level. The authors point out that bacteria and other pathogens can be killed at that level, so rotifer cultures can be used with that amount of continuous ozone to reduce bacterial contamination.

this mean?

It means that you can use enough ozone to control bacteria levels in your rotifers ;)

In general, I do not think it would be a good idea to have any detectable OPO's in a reef aquarium. :)

I see no need for ozone in a rotifer culture system as well. Much of the bacteria in rotifer cultures is extremelly benificial and IMO needs to be there. I deal with some of the worlds largest volume rotifer growers and none of them use any ozone in their systems that supply their 1/2 billion dollar cod farms.
