Bottom of Tank is Bowed

I just finished the stand for my 75 gal AGA. The top of the stand where the tank sits is flat and level. The bottom of the tank trim has a slight gap where it sits on the plywood at the back. The gap is between 1/32" to 1/16" and is about 30" long. Is this something I should be concerned about or will it fix itself when water is added?

I am no expert at this but I would think that the tank is fine and that the problem is with the stand. you sure there is no sag in the stand top maybe missing a center brace or something? on the other hand I would do a trial run with hose water and check the level of the tank with water in it and see if the gap closes and if its level I would say leave it

I read on this sight somewhere that you can put a piece of styrofoam between the tank and stand to help with this problem. Search styrofoam on Reefcentral. Found some interesting reading.

i thought the foam was for under acrylic tanks

is the tank new or old ?if it is used maybe it took the shape of the old stand

correct you don't want to put foam under a glass tank as it can create pressure points. unless you put it only where it meets the trim and not the glass.
