I think there a great fish. However I caught mine eating my zoas when I slacked on feeding.

craiglanda 12/23/2007 03:07 PM

So you dont think that one more fish would be overstocked in there?

Craig,
I loved my foxface the only problem is it would only eat nori and didn't like frozen brine for some reason. I never had a problem with it picking, I don't see a problem here with over-stocking the only thing i would say is don't get another big fish like a tang or trigger. As long as your nitrates are fine sounds like your going to get a new fish.

I dont plan to ever get a tang or trigger. I like more little fish really bringing life to the tank than big show fish. I think the foxface will be the biggest ill ever go! Im gonna keep my eyes peeled for a 3inch magnificent foxface. Oh and i forgot about my mystery wrasse also...so that is one more fish in the tank that i failed to mention was in there. How did i forget my most expensive fish is beyond me but i dont think that the wrasse is much of a difference on the bioload. Thanks for the advice.

When I had my tank up, my Foxface was reef friendly unless he went unfed for a little. He'd nibble on the tops of my Xenia..although some may consider that a blessing rather than a curse.

mine took a liking to frogspawn lps coral.

Anything green.

My objection to them as a class of fish is that they have a voracious appetite and you are importing one heck of a lot of phosphate after they have eaten everything that grew in your tank. That phosphate has to go somewhere. And phosphate is not good for corals, either stony or softy.

MY foxface got into a fight with my Naso and won. Naso died after being stuck or stung by the foxface.

you have less fish than i do in my 90, but mine are mainly all small fish.

I'd just be afraid that there's not enough natural grazing rock in your tank and that it would start grazing somewhere else.

put another 40-50 lbs rock in there and maybe it'll be fine.

craiglanda 12/24/2007 02:02 PM

i have added a lot of rock since you last saw the tank. :)
