They're an Irish band: The name derives from their version of the phrase, "kiss my behind," Pogue being the operative term.

Hence his fascination with them.

My older sisters 8th grade school choir did a Christmas concert, (shows my age) and there was a boy in the choir who did a solo of Oh Holy Night, we have a record of it and that rendition of that song is my favorite Christmas song.

The Pogues are amazing. The song is called Fairytale of New York.
