Conspic Angel

So who was the culprit who bought the conspic from Liveaquaria for that insane amount of money? huh who was it?

triggerfish1976 12/21/2007 04:50 PM

Me. Just kidding. I was actually wondering the same thing.

invincible569 12/21/2007 05:41 PM

it could of died?

triggerfish1976 12/21/2007 06:36 PM

It's probably in Kevin's personal tank. If I was him I would have a stipulation that if a fish doesn't sell within a couple of months I get to take it home for free.

forgot about that angel. I'm interested in seeing it in someones tank.

JM68 12/22/2007 11:30 AM

i can't believe anyone would pay that amount of money for it. My lfs has one in now for much less and they are usually more expensive than online vendors.

blface 12/22/2007 12:40 PM

That conspic was very small which is very rare to find a small conspic. The small size is why the price is so high. If I had a tank big enough I would of bought it myself which of coarse would of led to a divorce.:D

zemuron114 12/22/2007 05:11 PM

small conspics are extremely rare. Much like small bandits but times 10 (maybe more) the price was justified IMO. He could have got twice that in Japan or Hong Kong...

Vili_Shark 12/22/2007 06:16 PM

They never come to HK at that size.
Only Japan can get that size Conspics, actually I know a couple that made it to HK, but from Japan and not imported directly from NC.

jmicky41 12/23/2007 01:54 AM

I've seen a few conpics of 3" or less and each was over a $1000 less than the one on LA.

I agree. Old Town Aquarium had one this year and I believe Reef Tank Supply also had one and both were less than $2500.

lesleybird 12/23/2007 04:36 PM

Damm......Think we need to try to breed these to make a small fortune!

tcmfish 12/23/2007 05:01 PM

Now that would be a plan. Imagine getting like 10 raised... (we can all dream)

zemuron114 12/23/2007 05:42 PM

old town and reef tank supply's were not 3". there is a HUGE difference between 3" and 4" when it comes to a rare angel. I dont actually think RTS even had one, they just listed it.

danfrith 12/23/2007 06:03 PM

How much did LA charge again?

Aadler 12/23/2007 07:11 PM

3700

I think at 3" you could stuff that conspic in a 55.

Terra Ferma 12/24/2007 07:15 PM

For my money the Divers Den fish are worth every cent they charge - they have all be quarantined and treated for genus specific ailments, they all eat well and Live Aquaria has a fantastic survival guarantee. If you can afford 2500 I don't see why paying an extra 1000 for that fish, from Kevin, should be a big deal.
