Hey Yellowslayer13, which boat do you work on? 8th grade is kind of young to be working with those old salts isn't it?

its actually a joke, if you click on it its says not for sale/ make an offer.

what is really touching is the story behind peters memorial polyps. Dr. Mac is a stud!

Serioussnaps 11/09/2007 01:33 PM

I am highly unimpressed by that peice.....maybe its just me. Looks like another green coral to me.

I kind of agree with ya. It is very nice so i wouldn't say it isn't impressive but i've seen a bunch of aussie acan's that look nicer than that, imo. Of all the pics of aussie's and other acan's that people have posted here just in the last few months, i don't think that one would even make my top 5.

i wonder how long did it take for mr Mac to grew that piece from tiny frag as he claims? ......... and he never wonted to show the pic of the colony in this 7-10 years it probably took him to feed it like a pig .....i tell you that! he got me. i will drop him an offer

turbonegro 11/10/2007 06:11 PM

ive seen this coral in person. the pics dont do anything for it.

FastFish720 11/12/2007 11:15 PM

I think it is a actually a type of favia, I remember seeing a piece like this two years ago and we thought it was a maxima, but ended up being favia v...

Hormigaquatica 11/13/2007 03:14 AM

Doesnt look like Acanthastrea to me; and the fact that it supposedly came from Japan rules out A. maxima automatically.

I dunno, Id pay $10 for a head or so just for something different in the tank.
