Thats a great last picture, looks very natural. I'd love to see more plumbing pictures. How he's dealing with flow, lighting, filtration etc. would be great to see.

That is fantastic!

It is like Energy's reef only twice the size and outdoors like victor's reef in Portugal.

Very cool!

ATX aquarist 10/20/2007 07:20 PM

That looks like something you'd see at a state aquarium. That is pretty awesome. If I could ever afford something like that I would totally build it.

gsusfreak 10/20/2007 07:38 PM

if that was my tank...i'd go swimmin just to feed the fish, and have a face to face view of the corals, and not behind glass!!!

Scythanith 10/20/2007 08:15 PM

Gorgeous tank, your friend should be very proud!

siropa 10/20/2007 08:30 PM

wow. that is just incredible.

Do you know how warm the water gets during the day? With it being outside i'd think the temp would be wildly up and down.

clekchau 10/20/2007 09:54 PM

amazing

I wonder what size clean up crew you require for a system of this size.I can't imagine the time and money needed to maintain this tank.I love the natural look to it.I would think that building it out of re bar and concrete wouldn't cost as much as one would think. What did it cost to build this tank if you don't mind me asking.
