Dude, your title scared people lol. Looking good tho..... My first impression with the title was some kind of porn ads....

I got afraid when I saw the first picture was of you...I wasn't sure if I should look at the rest haha. Sounds like the tank will be a beast though. I like the aquascaping idea, can't wait to see this with SPS in it.

Sorry for the false advertising but I wanted to get people's attention. I guess it worked.

I intend to stock this tank almost exclusively with SPS. I have several friends with large sps tanks who I am hoping will be generous enough to provide me with some frags. I have had several SPS tanks in the past and with my accumlation of past equipment I hope to keep this tank running for a long time.

As far as fish, I initially plan to keep a blue throat trigger and several rabbit fish. I tried to leave the rock work very open to provide alot of room for swimming.

[B]Any ideas on how to re-brace the tank?[/B] If you look at the 2nd picture you will see a very wide glass brace. I am hoping to put two LAIII's over the tank and that glass strip will really interfere. I will post a better picture of it later tonight.

Florida State, Florida State, Florida State, that's right back to prominance this year. Hey just a heads up for your tank check out High Tides for all the SPS. Scott the owner has SPS frags for about $5! Pretty much the best I have seen. They moved locations just recently, they are now across from SAMS in a brick office building. Just got my tank up and going, its looking awesome.

Looks good so far. One thing I would personally do is paint or put a background on that tank. Never could stand looking at hanging electrical cords on the back of the tank

Or is it going to be viewable from 3 sides, hence the overflow design/placement?

Actually the cords appear to be inside the tank... Do you have a powerhead or something inside that rock pile? If so and you plan on leaving it there it'll suck if you have to dismantle the whole rockwork in a grown out tank to remove a broken one... I've thought about placing them within rockwork but decided against it for that reason.

Can't wait to see it once it's all together and has some occupants. :)

The tank is looking nice! I have to agree with Mel that having those powerheads in there is probably not the best idea. You will eventually have to take them out to clean them and when you do chances are good you will smash all of your SPS to pieces trying to get them out. Just have them hanging there on the glass with the other two or opposite of the other two. Just a thought…

Your bottom doesn't seem that bare:D Starboard is the way to go.:thumbsup:

Do you have a bulk head in to bottom of the tank for the eductors under the rock pile?

A wide center brace should be OK, if you put Euro bracing on the front and back sides as well. This is to ensure that the tank won't bow or stress.

you will hafta call the manufacturer to see if removing the center brace will weaken the structure. I think most tank have the center brace is so that the glass cover tops aren't huge and heavy.

I think someone called the AGA manufacturer awhile back and they said taking out the center brace wouldn't compromise the tank. Unsure as to whether it voids the warranty or not.

i broke the brace on 55 one time and when i filled it with water the weight bowed the glass almost an inch so i constructed a very very ugly brace and epoxied it in place. i know the glass in your tank is thicker but that brace is in there for more reasons than your glass tops and lights.
