Skybus is starting to take reservations.

I booked 3 tickets to Boston round trip for 108.00 TOTAL.

they are announcing $10 fares each way.

Get them while they last.

L.A., Fort Lauderdale, Boston, and others for $10 each way.

Just go to skybus and add the dot com.

You ought to read about Skybus on the website. Pretty cool company, and new planes to boot. This will change the way other airlines do business. The one thing I can't figure out is a flight to North Carolina is only $10 per ticket one way. The plane seats 156 people, so that's only $1560 gross profit dollars for the airline. I would think jet fuel would cost that much, let alone covering the cost of the pilot, co-pilot,flight attendant, ground crew and maintenance guys. Then the company has to make money on top of that.

hollback 04/24/2007 08:26 PM

I think heard tonight that they only have 10 tickets at the $10 price, 10 at the $25, 10 at the $50, 10 at $75 and the rest are at the $100 mark.

Here's an interesting read.

As far as I know they fill up the hold with packages and pets that need transporting and fly them to the destination. Like when ppl ship livestock on planes and have to pick up at the airport.

mattheadington 04/24/2007 10:51 PM

Who would ship livestock on a plane!?!?!?

Seriously though, just checked and the cheapes roundtrip CMH to LAX tickets are $60 roundtrip now.....still very cheap

Hormigaquatica 04/24/2007 11:16 PM

Woohoo! Vacation time- thanks for the heads up Rockker.

One week in Vancouver at the end of August. Cant wait.

prance1520 04/25/2007 08:36 AM

Thats amazing. I just checked it out. It looks like they only fly to a few select airports. Has anyone done research that if your going somewhere like Vegas, is it cheaper to go Skybus to LA, then catch a quickie to Vegas, or cheaper just to catch a redeye on a normal airline to Vegas?

Rockker 04/25/2007 10:28 AM

I can take time off about anytime, so I just kept looking until I found the $10 flights.

I can also start my vacations midweek, so that helps also.

Vegas is only a 5 hour drive from L.A. maybe 6 from Burbank.

Tonya and I have flew to L.A. before and just rented a car to go to Vegas.

Chuck

TOURKID 04/25/2007 11:49 AM

id have to assume you could get a cheaper flight from cali to vegas than it would cost to drive it. plus then you have a pesky car to deal with either parking it or returning it to a diff location (vegas) whitch costs a fortune.

we drove from ohio to vegas 2 yrs ago and used a retal jeep. we were going to drive back home but dident think we would make it in one piece so we decided to leave it in vegas. it was an extra 300.00 than to just drive it back home and keep it an extra 3 days. not to mention the gas...
