those are some nice overhangs you got in the rockwork. i bet thats alot of rock.

Hey thanks for the compliments... its my first fish tank... I have a Hippo Tang, Naso and Unicorn... i put half the 300 lbs of rock in the sump so the big boys can swim.. Probably need to give away the unicorn cause he is gonna get too big... but .. maybe someday i can just get a bigger tank..
the small fish: 2 types of anthias, grean chromis and 5 different dwarf angels.. no fighting .. put them all in at once...

yeah thats a gorgonia on the right... thanks again!

Jim

demonboy279 06/16/2006 12:41 AM

no problem jim :) thanks for sharing your tank. i hope you can find ya something to do with the unicorn. its amazing how you can put all those fish together without ny problems in such a small container (compared to the ocean lol) thats an amazing tank im glad you showed it :)

recife

thats a sweet setup. i especially like the green carpet. do you have any other fish or just the one? its looking great :)

staticfishmonger

you started off wiht a lot of coralline on your rocks didnt ya? i bet it really took off to growing quick huh. and wow that green star polyp really spreads dont it lol. i hope mine spreads like that its awesome. thats a beautiful tank but that gsp really catches my eye. i got one and its still about 3-5 inchs so yours is like amazing lol.

JR719 06/16/2006 12:49 AM

One of these days it may actually have coral and fish!
Sorry, could not resist the post.

Recife 06/16/2006 12:52 AM

Thanks. I had an ich outbreak a few weeks ago and then moved everybody to quarantine, except for this stubborn chromis who doesn't want to leave the tank. They are ready to come back and I will post pics soon. Thinking of moving them back next weekend.

staticfishmonger 06/16/2006 01:18 AM

dont worry your GSP will be huge in no time, i have had to cut it back a few times as now it has spread up the back of the tank and over to the other rocks.

**edit**
here a few pics of the gsp along the way

first pic ever take of it (with atinic light only)

demonboy279 06/16/2006 03:17 PM

wow that GSP grew pretty nicely. i cant wait till mine does. it looks pretty sweet when its like a carpet :)

jr719

have fun setting that monster up lol. looks like youve got alot of work to do to it. good luck

fmellish

thats a nice tank. i wanted to set mine up as a 4 sider like that but i didnt have the space. is that an LTA? looks great

Fmellish 06/16/2006 03:41 PM

Thanks, yes, it is a LTA.

After setting this 4-sided aquarium up, I don't ever think I'd be able to have a one sided aquarium. You miss half of the action. The corals are just as interesting on the back as they are on the front.

I will always have 4 sided aquariums.

Josh

demonboy279 06/16/2006 03:43 PM

yea i know a 4sider is beautiful and you get alot more view. but you gotta settle for what you got. once i get a bigger tank i will hopefully be able to find some room to make it a 4sider. i got my fingers crossed.

ive even thought about getting one of those huge hexagon tanks to put in the middle of the room those things look sweet and its alot of water i could build a center piece reef :)

anyone have hex pics? i think that would be cool

ddevlin 06/16/2006 06:06 PM

My 200 gallon when I set it up about 10 months ago.
