smashers post molt

it seems my 5 inch peacock has molted for the first since owning him. it seems though his smashers have lost their pop.

are they still raw/sensitive from the molt, and will harden more over time? is this normal post molt?

Also when peacocks molt do they molt their whole body at once? Or do they do different parts stretched over "x" amount of time until they complete their molting process?

For an animal this size, it can take weeks for it to regain full power. The striking surface has to be re-calcified and the various muscle attachments and springs must regain their resiliency. Smaller stomatopods harden more quickly.

Stomatopods molt their entire exoskeleton at once. If you see one that doesn't, it is in serious trouble and my die.
