Hello,
I'm sorry for delaying to answer your kind posts. Tonight i'm gonna try to post more pics and go on answering your questions. Thanks for your patience, Machado de Sousa |
Wow. Now I remember why I always like being in this subforum. You don't get to see that kind of pictures very often.
And can you explain more from the term "one polyp"? Do you just frag the tip of a sps? Or just a piece containing 1 polyp extension? |
not only do you have lots of frags.. but you have amazing colors as well....
|
WOW!!!! Very nice setup, looks fantastic! Please post more pictures if you can.
|
I'm all teared up!

It sounds like you are a true scholar in the work of coral prop and with efforts like you have make do nothing but help keep the natural reefs where they belong.

Originally posted by yellowslayer13 I think it is freekin great, that many less corals that need to be ripped from our oceans
Tank you for your kind words. That is true, this is a god way to avoid over colecting corals from theyre natural habitats to tsustain the aquarium hobbies. Regards, Machado de Sousa |

... can you explain more from the term "one polyp"? Do you just frag the tip of a sps? Or just a piece containing 1 polyp extension?
It depends on the size of the radial or axial polyps esclerites. If the esclerite is prominent to allow its collect, it is possible to remove it. In corals like Acropora multiacuta, for exemple, seen in this pic below, is possible to do it. Other cases, with less prominent esclerits, you need to collect more than one polyp to propagate. Of course this metode has high associated costs and is only recommended for rare or expensive colonys. Regards Mahado de Sousa |
Hello!
I left you aquariums view: All the best Machado de Sousa |
Definately the best looking prop systems I personally(and most of us) have seen. The colors are outstanding, and all from T5s. Very Impressive!! I may be in Portugal(Chaves)next year to visit the inlaws, are you giving any tours? :) Keep up the great work!!
|
amazing. i absolutely am amazed at the colors you have.
|
Hi Machado,
Sweet system you've got there. I must visit you soon. Why did you choose T5 over MH? Do you have live rock in the system? Why didn't you use any substrate in the tanks? Congratulation, that is really amazing! |
HI MACHADO,
Congratulations for you briliant work that Denadai coud see live by her self and expose for us at IPAQ (www.ipaq.com.br). Same question: What about Rhizoporas ... do you really thing they are a great improvement in your system ? See ya, MAX |
Woweeeeee!
