If you pay to become a member, it works very well.

i've heard form plenty of Premium Members that its still a pain to use. maybe its worth a shot.

how much is it a year to use a search engine?

Since I got membership, it works 98% of the time as long as you don't try to do a search more frequently than every 10 seconds. :D
Definitely worth what it costs.

I usually find what I need by going to the home page and clicking on search tools on the main menu. When you get the search tool page choose the google search and specify on reefcentral rather than the [url]www.[/url]

Using google to search bypasses the RC engine and is really fast. In the Google searchbox, type:

searchword1 searchword2 searchword3 site:reefcentral.com

yup, thats what i use, works great every time!
