Nice and close I'd say haahaa! Just play with your fstop to try and get a little better DOF if that's what you like and then go to town!

Great shot!

Try bumping the fstop to somewhere around 14 - 18 you'll get better depth of field, you could also bracket shoot the corals, use a tripod and focus on one coral, set the f to 14, snap a pic, then use 16, snap a pic etc....
Great corals, which camera are you using?

jetta 12/16/2007 05:43 PM

Hey thanks for the input...I'm actually trying to find how to adjust those Items on my camera...LOl. I'm using a canon 10D. most of these pics are with the canon macro lens 100mm.
I've had the camera for awhile now but can't find my book on how to change settings. Are you familar with the canon?

You could use a bit more of that image in focus for it to really pop. Try setting the focus point a little further to the front and increasing the f-stop.

Keep practicing!

Nice pics...

A good practice if you'd like to get a little more crisp focus is to at least shut of your powerheads and maybe even restrict your main pump, also don't feed for at least a half hour before shooting.
