Pseudochromis killer?

Are Neon Pseudochromis known hermit killers? In the last 2 weeks I have added 4 hermits to my 120 reef. Have yet to see any of them. Now this is not odd in my 120. I have a few things I only see maybe once a week but I can plainly see the shells the hermits were in... My friend was the one to sujest the Pseudochromis was to blame. Is there any credability to this story? Are they known killers?

No. They can't get to hermits. Hermits have shells. They would have to have some way to crush the shell. Hermits move from shell to shell so if there are other shells they probably just moved to them. They'll reappear.

I will continue to watch the shells then. I know they transfer from shell to shell as they grow and molt but i know the shells I have put in there for them and they do not seem to be in any of them. ty for the reply. I will just have to keep on watching those shells lol.

I had a customer that had an oblique pseudo that would pull hermits from their shells, so I would not rule it out.

I wouldn't be supprised at all if they could get hermits... They can be very agressive fish.

i had a orchid dottyback that would constantly pester the hermits. He would push them so they flipped over. Never saw him eating one though.

I have had a purple psuedo for 3 years with lots of red legged hermits. These are probably one of the most aggressive psuedo's there are and he doesn't mess with the crabs. Usually triggers and puffers are hermit killers. Even my eel doesn't mess with them.
