Additives for SPS
I´m starting with SPS corals and I read a lot of opinions abaut adding elements to the acuarium.
I use Kalwasser, a Calcium reactor and Iodine plus 5% water change weekly. Do you think it´s enough or I should add some trace element to my aquarium? |
Like many others, I use Tropic marine Pro Coral Elements A- and K+
I also use Kalkwasser and Tropic Marine Bio Calcium. I see positive changes in colouring, especially the green colours. More info over here: Leonardo |
I think what you are adding/doing is plenty. Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with the iodine.

I use nothing other than calc reactor and water changes. look at my avatar.

20% water changes a month maybe fine to start out. You may find that your tank depletes on some trace element over time and that you need to bump up the water changes a tad. I do 15% every other week ( that 30% per month ) . others here may do as much as 40% monthly.

When adding trace elements, do you test each of them?
I think I´ll start only with iodine in order to prevent bleaching |
Hmm, read these two articles before you start dosing iodine--then decide.
