tagging along, got about 60 gallon tank with 20 gallon sump and I would like to know the same. A skimmer in the sump isn't an opition because of lack of space.

So far this is what I have heard

Tunze 9005/9010
Deltect MCE600

Get the Tunze 9010.

tunze 9010 (not really hob as it sits inside the tank, but it is small) or a bermuda rogue wave.

Depending on you budget and bio-load, go with either the AquaC Remora or the Remora Pro. Easy to install and minimal tweaking.

Great company too.

How about a Deltec MCE 300? I have one on a 20G and love it. Check out the review in the Deltec forum.

If you were to decide on an AquaC hang-on skimmer, I'd go with a pump slightly above their recommendations and put a valve on it just in case you need to throttle it back a little bit. Most people report that they're much happier with a larger pump, as it makes them skim better with the "spray injection" technology or whatever it is.

bermuda aquatics hob skimmer...

able to EASILY handle my 110g heavily stocked reef powered my a MAG 3!!!

blows away my remora that skimmed *okay* but nothing like the bermuda.

Tunze 9010. I replaced a Remora with a 9010 (in-tank) in my sumpless 65g, it was a significant upgrade.
