Starphire is the brand name of a PPG low iron glass product. It's marketed more than some other manufacturers low iron glass, but is essentially the same. Tempering is used to increase the strength of the glass, letting tank manufacturers to use thinner / lighter glass in lieu of thicker non tempered glass for the same strength. Weight is a significant amount of shipping cost so thinner is better in general. You're not likely to ever want to drill the front so tempered would be worthwhile, as long as you can find it as readily as untempered low iron glass of comparable strength.
