Can I have snails?

OK, after a year or two of just having some fish swimming around in the tank, im getting the 180 back up to its potential. My questions is, can I put snails in my tank with the current selection? or am i asking for trouble? I have a:

Large Sattleback Grouper
Black Spotted Grouper
Red Volitan
pink tail trigger
black rimmed morray eel

I know how important snails are, but i dont want to be asking for trouble/throwing money away if i dont need to. any input would be great.

I think you may be okay. My grouper never went after snails, and I've never had a lionfish that recognized them as food. The trigger might mess with them, but pink tails are pretty mellow compared to others.

I'm not sure what species a black rimmed moray is, but if it is a piscivore (not a pebble toothed eel such as snowflake eels and relatives) it probably will leave them alone.

I'd try a few you get locally that aren't too expensive to test. sometimes LFS stock olive nerites in FW tanks - these are really brackish water snails that can be acclimated to full salt. They aren't too expensive. (I feed them to my mantis shrimp.)
