Scribble rabbitfish and sps

I have a small scribble rabbit fish in my 65 and just recently I have noticed that its been going up to my favorite acro and what looks like nipping at the tips. Is this a possibility or is my fish just investigating the coral and I am over reacting? I haven't noticed it touching any of my other acros or any other corals for that matter. Does anyone have any experience with this?

It can happen. Rabbits are not 100% reef safe. Neither are tangs for that matter.

It won't likely stop, so you better get a plan to catch it or live with it.

Catch it...and use leather gloves inside your over-elbows.

Mine took to dicing up the green frogspawn.

Sometimes, they are easily scooped out in the wee hours of the morning when they "sleep" along the rocks.

My blue stripped rabbit leaves SPS alone, but eats all, I mean all, zoos, nibbled at the candy cane but doesn't seem to like it. Leaves the favia, frogs and hammers alone.

... it does eat bubble algae with a passion though!

... so I have no zoos in the display :)

Sk8r, are rabbitfish spines sharp enough to puncture typical over-elbow gloves?! Yikes.

They are pretty scary. Mine got me in the thumb when I caught him last. Ouch.

I can without a doubt catch this guy. I have been trying to catch my hog fish w/ a trap and the rabbit fish thinks its its personal buffet. Aside that it will eat put of my hand. Looks like I will be fishing when I get home. Thanks for the help.

Oh, yeah. I used to feed mine mysis by hand. I loved that fish.... I can't wait 'til I get another tank set up....

I am gonna miss this one but my corals are more important to me. Oh well live and learn.
