good way to acclimate sps?
 

how's everyone acclimating their sps? or what's the safest way of acclimating? drip acclimate? adding a cup every 15min?

I let them float in the bag for 15-30 mintues or so, then hold them in the air for 30 seconds to a minute before sticking them in.

You would think it to be more involved, wouldn't you? Its during this time I really freak out and give them the once over for fishtank herpes.

I do as HB tank said......but they dont go into my tank.

They get dumped into tank water and a couple different treatments along with close inspection with a magnifying glass and flashlight of both them and the water im treating them in......

anything not perfectly healthy gets whacked off and then they get put in the tank

I float the bag in the tank with the lights off, then I add water every 15 odd minutes, not very scheduled though.

I only panic when sticking frags to LR / pebbles / magnets. As I panic'd yesterday -- my wife recognises the sound and come running to my rescue. Not only is she hot, but she is most definitely...

lol i panic too when m trying to glue them onto things. i always do something stupid

so really? thats all you do? just float them to match temp. and then let them slime up and add them to water where youre going to inspect?

you dont have to have it match up the pH, ALK, or anything?

I scrubbed some digi frags with a toothbush a while back before putting them in. Maybe not the wisest Idea but they all lived and are doing good (8-9 frags).

They slimed up really good.

so temp. acclimate and letting them slime up for 30seconds to 1minute seems to work for everyone?

do you risk losing it if your alk and pH might be different from the seller's tank?
