Strange lighting and anemone question

So I dont have enough lighting for an anemone, Ive got about 3 watts per gallon of PC and a pair of antsy GSM clowns waiting for their anemone. MY tank is right next to a window and in San Diego we get a lot of sun, even right now. If I have the blinds open it lets a lot more light to the tank, would this make it possible to put in a BTA? Strange question but Im curious.

I think it might be okay, but if its really bright light, it might heat up the tank and kill everything.

I don't recommend putting the tank in direct sunlight, unless you've got a good refuge setup and handle on phosphates (for algae worries). I think you'll be fine with a BTA with that lighting, you'll still have to feed it (as you always will with anemones), but I don't foresee any worries.

so you think i can have a BTA without the sunlight anyway?

Yeah, pc's should be fine, sunlight will just cause problems.

Yep, the BTA will be fine without sunlight.

Ok thats good, Im just double checking because the LFS said I need 2 bulbs of PCs as opposed to my only dual daylight/actinic bulb. But its still a shallow tank and 3 watts per gallon

What size tank is it, and what are the actual wattage of the bulbs you are using. Are they all "daylight" bulbs?

I personally don't like using watts/gallon --- it doesn't take into account the depth of the tank.

12 gallon tank with 32 watts 50/50
