sea pen coral ?
 
Thinking about getting a pink sea pen that I saw today at lfs. Does anyone have one of these in their tank or any info on it....thanks

Nonphotosynthetic filter feeders, I believe, and thus would be pretty darned hard to keep alive. I've seen them diving all of the time, and they were always on silty, muddy bottoms. This is not typical in most aquaria! Disclaimer: most of my experience with these guys is in temperate -- cold -- water. I've run into a few in the tropics but not many.

My vote: stay away.

A very deep, silty/muddy sand bed is a [I]must[/I] for these corals, as is heavy feeding and pristine water quality. Not a coral most people are likely to have success with.
