Man even though I don't like LSU at all you gotta love Les Miles. He's quite a character.
|
you gotta admire a guy who has no fear when it comes to play calling.
on a side note, Boeckman is horrible. |

on a side note, Boeckman is horrible.
On the jacksons redemption pick the guy was open to Boeckman just overthrew him thats what makes me mad about it most. and semi I'm always logical :p |
Don't get me wrong that stiff arm was crazy good, but it was by no means the best play of the game. As I recall that play did not even help get 3 points on the board. Also another great play was that idiot with the number 38 on his back completely missing the ball and just hitting the punter. That kid will have no life at OSU and should look to transfer.:D
You gotta admit the 31 straight unanswered points were the best plays in the whole game. Considering OSU led every statistic on Defense, they sure did not show it at all. But then again who had they played the whole year? |
PLAYOFFS!!!
This year should put to rest the idiotic idea that a plus one system would help. Who deserved to be the plus one team? Based on the final coaches poll probably would have been USC. I imagine the Dawg fans would have taken issue with that but Kansas and Missouri had strong claims too. |
Hey Semi, do you still think Beanie would be "just another back" if he played in the SEC?
|
beanie is a pretty good back. I bet that he plays on sundays in a couple years.
|
Cubman - looks like BAMA is going to play all the Bowden boys - Terry back when he was at Auburn, FSU last season and next season Clemson .......... is Jeff coaching :D

Yeah OSU's defense was showed up against FLA and LSU too. Shows what high powered offenses the SEC has.
|
Or the scrubs we play to get those stats. I'm so sick of this "help the little schools" motto we seem to have. I wouldn't mind it if there was more than 3 competitive teams in the Big10, but since there isn't we need a tough OOC schedule.

That guy could do very well there if they use him right. SC just has an obscene amount of talent at running back. Just because he got shuffled and left SC doesn't mean moody wasn't good. |
To be honest i dont think it was really the defensive players, rather the coordinator.
We played the same defense that we got beat by illinois, multiple plays Osu just wasn't in good position. The Sec may be quicker but an O coordinator that figures out how to beat a defense generally wins. the year we beat Miami we had Dantonio for a D coordinator and now he's a head coach. Similiarly the zone we ran against Florida was designed to prevent the deep ball. No offense to Chris Leak but he's not as much of a deep ball threat, he's better at throwing the short pass with zip and we gave him those 8 yard slants all night that game. We have the athletes to compete with an Sec speed we just can't seem to get over the hump of getting some stops on D Solution could be to getting a new d coordinator. Biggest plays were special teams though I still can't believe 38 did that, completely killed us |

I never counted him out, I was just talking about that it would have been nice to have Beanie this year. |

I hardly call that a good comparison. I would use more of a comparison like App State beating Michigan.:D
But if you put Cal on the same level as Stanford then the Pac 10 really does suck............ wait a second the Pac does anyways.:D |
The rug tells it like this.
Last year and this year the SEC was the strongest conference, the two national champions can tell you that. Along with the bowl records of course.:D |

If one were to seriously compare a loss on the level of the SC loss to Stanford Georgia's loss to Carolina would be most appropriate. Carolina had six wins. 3 were against South Carolina State, North Carolina and Louisiana Lafeyette. Most Impressive. |

I wouldn't be suprised if they give some of the better SEC teams out there a run for their money. Remember who is coaching them too. ;) |
