Clams and anemones
 

how well will these two play together. I am still in my planning stages for my 70 gallon tank (3ft wide and around 2ft tall). what I am wondering is can these two coexist close to each other or do I need to keep them separated to prevent the clams from being stung.

Yes you should keep them seperated. The nem would probably kill a clam with a few stings. I do keep a sebae and a 10" carpet nem in my tank with ?27 clams last time I counted. LOL I need to count again. I just give the nem's a wide birth with the clams when they start to move.

Yes, anemones and clams must be separated. Especially carpet anemones (rittereas) as they tend to wander. My carpet stung my maxima and squamosa several times and they recovered, but slimed up in the areas afflicted. Also, watch out if you have atlantic anemones! They can really do some damage!
