Fish nibbling my zoos

:( lost several zoos colonies ,,, the Henichus, sailfin tang and the bicolor angel just love them. Is there a way to keep them away.

AHHH, the tang topic again. I think it is a great topic. Each year, we hear more about Tangs nipping at zoos. Some say it's a lack of feeding, I say the Tangs like to eat zoos, not all of them. I am not trying to start mass histeria here, but there are a list of Tangs out there by many of us right here on RC who have had/wittnesed them eating zoos.

Biotech, why don't you start a thread asking everyone to list the names of all the Tangs that have eaten zoos. For those who don't believe, they can't say that they weren't warned.

I learned of the Hippo Tang eating zoos from this forum a couple years ago. Then one day I saw my Hippo swim over to my red zoos and nibble away.

The only way you can keep the fish away, is by buying them a seperate tank. I have had more problems with Pygmy angels eating my zoos than I have had with Tangs. But I did have a Sohal one time that enjoyed eating my zoos.

So it is not a rare event ...
I was told I could only have one tank ... :sad2: Some serious thinking to do ... keep my fish or keep my zoos .... I like both..

... does a nano count as a second tank ????? :D

good thinking - a nano tank for zoos :p I have to test out my convincing power ...
BTW, my fish did not pick on every colonies. I have one that started with 30+ polyps and now the rocks have more than 100. One rock that started with 100+ ended up having only 3 left after a couple of days... that 3 now have multiped to 15 :p ... hopefully more ... I also had one rock that the fish got every single polyps.
