Hello,
Can any please tell me if they recognize the critter in the below photo? It is really very small (smaller than a dime by about half) and is wedged between two rocks. Seems to be attached to one of them by a tube of some sort. It retracts when startled, but does not seem to fully pull into the tube. I have searched various books, web forums, and image libraries trying to find if it is a specific kind of tube work, but it does not look anything like the images I have found. It looks to be an aipstasia. You need to get rid of it asap. There are chemicals you can buy.

I agree it looks like aptaisia

Thanks for the replies. All photos I have seen of aipstasia show very long tentacles, so I am not sure? Do some have short and stubby arms?
