My clowns starting spawning and I decided to try and raise the larvae.

a little background: I mated the clowns from juveniles. I started with 4 in my 60 gallon reef (been running continually for 16 years), along with a green carpet anemone. I ended up with a mated pair and they started spawning last month. I managed to capture a few larvae from their second hatch, and now have 12 at 10 days old. The largest is about 6mm, the smallest about 4mm. They're doing great.

This is my first try at this, and I'd love to hear from anybody with experience.

How is the feeding going?

What order did you feed them? Rotifiers...then baby bryne then, ...

Yes, started with rotifers, then brine. They're on brine only now.

Get some [url=http://www.reed-mariculture.com/otohime/]Otohime A[/url] dry larval feed. A light sprinkling a couple of times per day along with the brine nauplii will really boost their nutrition and growth ;)

How hard are the Rotfers to grow?
That looks like the hard part to me...

Could you describe your rearing tank setup, etc. My clowns just layed eggs aswell, and I'm deciding whether to rear them.

I got my rotifers from Reed Mariculture.

They are pretty simple to care for. I use a 5 gallon bucket and an airstone. You have to harvest 1/3 of it daily. I feed them a microalgae that Reed sells also. It's a lot easier than trying to keep greenwater cultures going, but a little expensive. It lives for a couple months in the fridge.

Cool! My larvae tank is 20 gallons. I started it with 6 gallons from the parent tank. The first few days I did just water additions. Now I'm doing actual changes. I do all water changes from the parent tank.
Ph=8, water temp=80, 81. I have two airlines in opposite corners of the tank. When I get them off live food I plan on adding a sponge filter.

It's a lot of time effort, not to mention your aquarium budget will increase a LOT. It's also very rewarding.

I posted a few pictures of my set up in my gallery. Note the less than ideal spot for the rearing tank. I plan to move it to the basement on the table with my brine shrimp hatchery for the next hatch (this coming thursday night). You may also notice I'm a master carpenter when you see the brine hatchery. I'm going for function, obviously. The blue bucket under the table is the rotifer culture.

The rearing tank has two airline tubes in oposite corners. I have a 75 watt bulb in the lamp. The green bottle is a fresh water drip. I'm also adding iodine via the drip now as well.

that's it. Pretty simple at this point.
