Refractometer and TDS meter

Could someone recommend a decent refractometer and TDS meter, as well as a vendor?

I'm willing to bet Randy sells refractos at "A Reef Creation". Might even have TDS meters, too.

I've only ever used a swing arm and know nothing about refractometers. It looks like they run from $20 on ebay, to up to and over $100 at retailers. Dumb question... but are they all pretty much the same, or would I really be missing something if I didn't get a pricier one?

I think you'd be happy with an ebay refractometer IF you make up some proper calibration solution and calibrate regularly.

pricier refractos usually have a built in backlight which isn't a necessity. You'd like the $40 refractos.

Just this weekend I picked up a dual in line TDS meter from "A Reef Creation". It's competitively priced compared to some on line places.

Thanks for your recommendations everyone! I grabbed that TDS meter from ebay and a $40 refractometer.
