Sump size for a 120G

I am thinking of getting a 38G (36" x 12" x 20") AGA tank as a sump for my 48x20 120G display. Is this about right, or should I get a larger sump?

If you can fit bigger go bigger, the more water volume the better, I have a 75gal AGA for my Sump under my 125.

yes the biggest you can fit in the space allowed is the best way to go!

Thanks for the replies. Is there a standard tank size that works well for 120G tanks? The tank would need to be under 24"x48" to fit in the stand.

40G (36"x18"x16H) breeder tank works well.

I've run my 125 with a 20g sump before. It was tight, but it worked. A 38g would work great I think.

Having said that, I agree with everyone else that the biggest you can fit is the best.
