All of them ??

tested for toxic metals?

I forget right now what chem bothers them most but each kind of critter has some things that are more toxic to them than others...

there must have been something in the water *OR* a lack of something!

what do you feed them?

FishNutzBoi 12/18/2006 08:39 PM

i didn't feed them anything. They ate algae from the sandbed and tank walls. A few days before they died, i turned off the light for 3 or 4 days to kill off cyano so the green algae didnt' grow at all.

The jumping is normal, and is probably how they got their name. Without knowing more about you tank it's hard to say what killed them though. "Good" is a relative description for parameters. It helps to have number, especially salinity since it's pretty important and there seem to be lots of interpretations of what a good salinity is. Also, how long were these guys in the tank? 1 fighting conch is pushing it in a 30 gal, so it's very unlikely that a tank that size could keep 2 fed. If they were new, how did you acclimate them?
