Red Algea
 

I have lots of Red Algea in my fuge, only on the sand bed. I noticed it about a month ago. I do not see any in my main tank.

Should/could I shut the system down, suck the water out, scrape the top layer of sand bed, and then put a new layer of sand on top? I know I don't want to stir it up or let the bad stuff out from the sandbed. Tim P.
