Thanks!
It took a little while to talk my wife into it, but in the end she enjoys diving as much as I do. We did our open water dives at SeaBase and my birthday dive trip was to Cozumel.
As of May 1, 2003, the website for NASDS has been discontinued. Since SSI and NASDS merged in 1999, the need for the NASDS website has diminished, as all of the programs of SSI and NASDS have been fully merged into one company.
NP.
I did a lot of research before certifying SSI. Ultimately I think the teacher matters more than the program, but I couldn't be happier than I am with our SSI experience.

thor32766 11/14/2007 01:58 PM

I am 31 and was certified when I was 10 yrs. I grew in Gitmo Bay, Cuba. Diving was everything there!

I turned tropical in 2005 when i went to the GBR to study marine biology, hence all the reefs.
I still love diving and snorkelling in temperate waters though, it's how i grew up.
Of my 21 years, i have spent 8 years diving and ~15 snorkelling so far, with many, many more to come!

Incidentally i'm Padi certified.

tibbs2 11/15/2007 04:25 PM

31, PADI certified in 07. So far I've only been on one diving trip, to Okinawa.

Rledford 11/15/2007 08:44 PM

26, been diving since I was 18. Dive for a local Search and recovery team.
