Why wont my caulerpa grow?

Hi all, I have a 29. gal. biocube with about 20 lbs. of liverock. The lighting is a 250 watt 14k metal halide. The tank is fairly knew maybe 3 months old. My problem is that I can't get my bubble caulerpa to grow at all. I added it about a month ago and still hasn't taken hold, half of it lossed all its green color and died within the first week. My inhabitants are 3 pipefish, a couple hermits and snails. Do I not have enough nutrients from fish, should I add more? Do I not have the right temperature bulb? Thanks for any help.

Mine is growing under a single T8, so light is mot much of a problem. Nutrients are likely to be though. And, while rasmosa is doing ok 4 me, i do have a problem with blade cau similar 2 yuors in the same setup.
