The answer to that question is really just another question... What is the rarest?

I have seen beautiful juvi dragon morays for as high as $2000... but im sure that they are not THE MOST expensive in the trade. Unfortunately the things that are typically the most expensive or rarest... are also illegal to collect and possess. A thread i read comes to mind .... i think it was a dragon leaf fish.... very rare, very beautiful..... but only large public aquariums could legally have them.

Corals are pretty much the same way.... sometimes its not the species per say.... but if a rare, never before seen color morph is found... it can fetch a very high price between hobbiests with big wallets for that "rare eye catching cornerpiece."

Sea Dragons. I think they are $20,000+ each.
