Injured boxershrimp

It's my fault I know, I was stupid. I bought a boxershrimp, after aclimated it instead of using a net to put it into the main tank I used my hand. Grab it from his hands and legs and while I was going to put it in the tank it panicked and fall on the floor.

Oops, his bought hands and a leg remained in my hand, so now I placed it in the sump to observe it better. Now it is without hands and a leg.

Do they regrow or it has no chance of living?

If it lives, it will regenerate limbs w/ each molt.
It would be nice to know if it can still eat--if so, it should be fine in a few months.

he should be fine, leave him in the sump for a few months and target feed him. Eventually he will completely regenerate his appendages. Good Luck!!

Yes I will do. Today I tried to feed him some artemia, I put a piece or two in front of his face about 2 inches away but he did not bother so he did not eat.

What do they normally eat in the wild?

Just after a week, my shrimp regenerated his lost hands, legs with his molt.. It's incredible...!!!

good to hear.

I had a boxing shrimp in my sump for a month and a half with no feeding and he grew back both a large arm and feeder arm. They're pretty skittish so it'll probably be hard to put food in front of his face (esp after losing some limbs and being dropped on the floor), maybe leave him some small pieces of krill or shrimp and see if he takes them after a while.
