how hardy is a gigas?

i recently set up my new tank and I added a clown 5 days ago and a bunch of ricordea yesterday and some gsp last week. Everything is doing well, is it safe to add my gigas yet? im just paranoid

I would also wait. your tank still needs to cycle

I waited over a year (two actually) before i added my gigas. You also have to consider that it will out grow a 60 gallon pretty fast. I am building a 300 soon and my clam s one of the reasons at 12"

I really depends on the amount of LIVE rock in you rtank, but generally speaking you should wait a few months. I moved a gigas from a 75 gallon into a newly setup 120 gallon immediately, but I had 250 lbs+ of aged live rock. The gigas seem to be more hardy than the maxima or squamosa, but I really think it depends on the individual clam. Each clam is different, and you can't really generalize.
