Consider yourself very lucky if you have had a smooth transaction with him.

I have dealt with Jar*head many times. And have always been very pleased. He is a very nice person, and great to work with. I would deal with him again anytime.

Fonda, thanks for the good word. Please don't waste your breath... It is his opinion. I don't know him, never deal with him....

There are more out there.... :D

Oh Steve....

Oh my, Steve, are we playing the "linkie" game? May I join you and add another?

How about THIS one?

As I have mentioned before, Jar*head has just recently changed his username. His previous username was Reefer714. If you would care to simply google his previous name (Reefer714), you would easily find a fellow member's review of his experience dealing with Steve.

The linkie will soon lead you here:

The matter was resolved, Steve was banned for a period of time, and certain "details" were smoothed over. But "Steve who lives in Westminster" is Jar*head, ladies and gents. These are merely facts.

You know, sometimes when you go 95 mph on the high way and you still won't get a ticket. Sometimes you play Russian roulette and hit red. I appreciate all those who are posting in defense of Steve. I understand that perhaps deep down he is indeed a nice person. But the fact remains that he has a problem with borrowing money from people and not returning them as promised. He has a problem of lying to others to get what he wants. The fact remains that quite a few reefers are very upset with Steve.

Our request is quite simple, Steve.

1. Please pay back the money that you have borrowed from the people who trusted you and tried to help you when you came to them for help. You mentioned in the thread HERE that you are moving to Colorado and looking to buy a house, bringing along with you, and I quote "big tank (96x48x24) approx 480g with 150g sump/prop system". If you are in such a privileged condition to buy a house, and mind you some reefers that you owe money to don't even have this kind of resource, there is absolutely no reason for you to be "in the process" of paying them back. Please pay them promptly.

2. Please treat others as you would like to be treated. Do not deceive others by advertising and selling a skimmer that you bought for less than $2000 as a $4000 item, or falsely claiming deployment to Iraq as an excuse to pawn your reef items. Some of us do have family members over there and frankly, it's quite disrespectful.

The ball is in your court, Steve. I am merely doing my job as a member of Reef Central to protect my fellow reefers and friends. If you decide to ignore my requests and continue with your reckless behavior, I will henceforth work solely with the moderators of this board to try and put an end to it. Those who have questions and concerns please PM me.

Steve, I really hope you do change. Our hobby is supposed to be fun. I take no enjoyment in this and to be honest, I'd rather get back to reefing, tend to my corals and change my water.

Sincerely,

Retin.
