Very intersted in the 1262. What is the blue foam for?

The blue foam is used for a second strainer for anything smaller that the outside strainer can't catch (using it in sump). I thought when I used the pump that it hindered performance. And gave me a extra chore around the tank to take apart the pump and clean it.

< update > This is the last item that isn't spoken for any reasonable offer will be accepted. There no rust on the pump and it's only been used to pump FW from a RO unit waste line tank onto the lawn
