Show Those 3' Tanks!

Like the title says: Show your 3 foot tanks!

Toddrtrex 05/04/2007 12:34 PM

Here is my 58g. The right MH had just shut off when I took this picture, that is why the left side looks brighter.

Dwarf Seahorses 05/04/2007 02:15 PM

What are the dimensions on that 58? I think I'll gonna get a custom 36"x30"x20" and I need a visual of how it'll look.

Toddrtrex 05/04/2007 02:18 PM

36 x 18 x 21 H

wongkwp 05/04/2007 02:56 PM

Here's my 58G as well.

What fixture are you using Peter? I want to go t5 for my 40 and was trying to find one that is 36"

I was considering the jebo units on ebay but then I heard about the burnt down houses and decided to avoid that.

Radiography14 05/04/2007 03:30 PM

hey to the guy

Hey that 58 gallon tank with the clip on fan will fall in the water. Say goodbye to your fish and corals.

Toddrtrex 05/04/2007 03:34 PM

Hey perhaps it is set up in a way that there is not enough room for the fan to fit b/t the tank rim and the hood. But, thanks for the concern.

And that fan has been like that for about 3 years now.

My 36L x 24W x 18H 60g, just turning 3 months old. I just transfered some acros over. My Vortech will be installed tomorrow evening :D and I'm getting some more frags at our local club meeting next week. Thread is linked to my red house.

The legs give it away as a Tek fixture, pretty much the only one available stateside right now worth buying. I have a 4x24W 24" horticultural T5 fixture that was about $100 without lamps, pics are in my tank thread on p. 6. Google the "sun wave t5" and Specialty Lighting pops up in the top 5 links. It's on my prop system so it doesn't matter that it looks like @ss.

Dwarf Seahorses 05/04/2007 03:57 PM

Thanks ReeferMonkey, that's the "style" I'm looking for with my own tank.

wongkwp 05/04/2007 04:52 PM

Yes, that's a Tek T5 fixtures (6x39W).

Mike, the aculeus is located below the tenius where the 2 cleaner shrimp is on the left side of the tank.

GSMguy 05/05/2007 08:39 AM

nano streams get my vote if you look at the tans we all have the nanos or seios and the seios stick out like a sore thumb in our pics but the nanos blend right in.

ReeferMonkey 05/05/2007 10:25 AM

Vortech :) Maybe EAGLES will show up, I know he's got a Vortech in a 58g.

CeeGee 05/05/2007 10:47 AM

Deranged Jester,

I am using 2 Tuzne 6000 streams and a multicontroller. My tank looks like crap though so I won't show it.

latazyo 05/05/2007 11:46 AM

ReeferMonkey and GSM : beautiful tanks

ReeferMonkey 05/05/2007 12:17 PM

Lowbudget, how long have you had the rose? Does it wander much on you? I'm sorely tempted to put one in my tank but I'm worried how long it may take for it to find a spot.

I can't tell how you stacked your rock structure, but I think what you have could be even stronger if you opened up a volume as indicated. It would put the a heavy mass on the end with the anemone and really contrast. I also feel that scraping the back glass will really make the contents pop against the clean background.
