M. doreensis
My M. doreensis shrinks every night after lights out and expands the next day with light. Should I worry
|
Nope, Mine does it as well.

No, this is normal behavior. During the day they expand towards the light for photosynthesis. During the dark hours there is no need to stay fully open.

Thanks alot

As long as the mouth or your LTA isn't terribly gaping. It should be just doing it's routinely deflation.

Yeah as everyone said this is pretty normal I think it would not be normal if it didnt do that.
Some deflate more than others. They all have different genetic variation that causes this do deflate more or less than others. |
Mines will inflate a bit more at night. It is a bleached one that I am hoping will recover. Should I be worried?

Are all nems supposed to do this? My RBTA seems to expand even more after lights out.

Are all nems supposed to do this? My RBTA seems to expand even more after lights out.
Yes and no. All anemones deflate but they don't necessarily have to do it when it is dark. Some do this at night and some do it during the day...it really all depends on the characterisitcs of the anemone. |
