WTB Tunze 7091 Single Controller

Anyone locally happen to have a 7091 sitting around they would like to get rid of?

mr294 12/18/2007 08:23 PM

OK plan has changed...anyone have a 7091 they want to lend me for a month or so :D

twon8 12/18/2007 09:10 PM

ive got a spare 7094 that doesn't work well you can borrow. it tends to think the pump is locked up when it isn't. I'm not sure if it does it for all the ports.

I'm glad to hear you decided to go with the Rio series, you won't be disappointed  Between Tunze and Rio, there's really no competition.

Thats not very much flow for a 55, he might be able to keep some softies in there.

Perfect, thanks!

why use a tunze controller for maxi's? all you need is an ACJr. or AC3 (which i highly recommend without hesitation)

are the rio's compatible with the tunze controller?

mr294 12/18/2007 11:21 PM

I've decided to go with Rio's and an AquaC Urchin at the recommendation of Josh. He assured me they were the best that money could buy.

surfnvb7 12/18/2007 11:24 PM

what kind of rio? i thought rio pumps always had a bad reputation for shorting out and burning up????

i'm pretty satisfied with replacing parts on my 6025 nanostreams every 2-3 months.....lol

mr294 12/18/2007 11:32 PM

I'm actually going with 6055's. I doubt I'll buy another Rio pump after the repeated shockings I've endured.

thats very tempting....just wish i could swallow the price tag....considering how many problems i have had with their 6025's (motor, impeller, shaft, clip bracket, outer cover etc.), the only thing i haven't had to replace yet is the magnets.....with my luck, one of them will reverse in polarity after the warranty is up.....lol

Yeah I've got my fingers crossed. There seem to be fewer problems with the 6055s (and I hope it's not just because they sell less of them :o ). I was planning on just going with a modded 6025, but I found a deal I had a hard time passing on.

The Urchin is going to be too powerful for your tank, you'll end up overskimming.

Thanks again for the 7094 Anthony, I picked it up this afternoon. I hope to only need it for a month or so.
