Found this guy crawling up the glass tonight.

Sounds like we're at Hollow-0-Scream.
I heard those guys are very beneficial sand stirrers. I think you can buy them from indo-pacific. why kill them?
Love the remixes.
Wow never seen one of those before. NASTY LOOKING.
Yes, they seem to be very beneficial.
I used to have a ton of them until I got a copperband butterfly. He wiped out all of the spaghetti worms, tubeworms and aptasia in record time. I also had a colony of little brown hydroids that have been picked clean. I haven't seen the CBB eat them but they disappeared the same time as the others. |
Great Video. For those that are looking for some more info on these guys, check out http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-06/rs/index.php

Thank you for all the compliments ,people!
slphappy, good reading ,thanks. 3crazy, Don't kill it , enjoy it! They are good for the tank. |
just pull it out.
Nice sharp video! That thing is vile looking.
got sauce?
Awesome pics and remixes! I have a bunch of those in my refugium, but they are a thousand times smaller than that monster! What are you going to do with it? Its so huge!:eek1:
Oh , it is back in the sand now! I have no desire to get rid of it or it's buddies.
Actually, if you can get over the initial shock, the coloring and markings are kinda beautiful (in a weird sort of way). The photos might be a little misleading. Its body is only 1.5 to 2 inches tops. |

I am new to this bought a new lr and had 2 hitchhikers 1 spaghetti worm and 1 brisstle got rid of bristle what will this worm do?
They eat left over food, poo in the sand and over all good sign of a healthy tank...bristle worms are also beneficial. Eating old food and braking down dead animals. Both just get a bad name . 99.5 % of all the worms are good for a tank. |
dude that is crazy but very kool. i hope i find one of those in my tank hahaha. no signs of any hitchkikers yet :(
