food?

I'm tring to find out what foods people are feeding there angels, tang, and or other fish with lots of colors.I know for freshwater give ur fish a wide varied of foods and there are also foods that help color, but sinces im still very new to sw my next best beat is ask. So any info would be great brand names what type of fish ur using feeding, ect... Thanks for ur time and info...

I feed all 4 varieties of Ocean Nutrition flakes. I also use OmegaOne Spirulina Flake and Spectrum Pellet. Along with these brands, I alternate different products. I've used Garlic Plus Flake & Zooplankton Flake from Brine Shrimp Direct, which the fish seemed to like. I've tried sea veggies and nori, which my fish didn't seem to like.

Variety is the big key for me. I don't typically feed frozen food b/c I like the convenience of flake.

I keep pygmy angels, tangs, anthias, clowns, and a pair of mandarins. Everyone is fat and happy and vibrant, so I think this diet works for my tank.

I feed the same as McBeck along with mysis, krill and seaweed selects. Variety is key.

most color enhancers in freshwater foods are meant to bring out the reds in the fishes, as of yet i have not found a color enhancer for saltwater fish. but i do follow Lee's regime for feeding, as well as an appetizer of spectrum pellets.

Astaxanthin is the color enhancer for saltwater fishes.

Thanks for all the feed back. I bought a few more foods but only pellets.I tried flake food but the only fish that will eat off the top of the water is my trigger, not sure why but my clowns, sailfin tang, flame angel ,and six bar waits till the food drops to the middle of the tank.
I'm feeding ocean nutrition formula one and formula 2 ,seaweed selects green marine algae, cockle, frozen krill ,gamma shrimp, mysis shrimp, clam, and frozen ocean nutrition garlic formula 2,and trigger formula.

Try putting your flakes into a cup then add some saltwater to submerge the flakes before adding them. This will make it easier for others to enjoy. Just my 2 cents.
