Looks good, what type of equipment are you using? What type of skimmer?

Fish look great! Damn that is a nice blue!
So, (not to flame you) do you sit there and watch those fish go after eachother or what. That has to be fun to watch.
I am using a bio wheel sump type filter with a asm G3 skimmer.I am upgrading to 55 gal sump tomorrow with a canister filter to be added.I change the water every 2 weeks about 65 gallons each time. The key to such an overly stocked tank is maintaning the ph I add 5 tablespoons of Kent superbuffer dkh evry 3-4 days.
Actually they all get a long well,if and when there is a problem I have over 1200 gals of saltwater tanks to move them back and forth.Fom my experiences overstocked tanks has less aggression in it than a moderatley stocked tank.
thanks for the pics, it looks really cool, I bet it looks even better in person

reefer334,
Hows your Queen Angel hold up to your Clown and Queen Trigger? I have a Queen Angel (4") and am think about adding a Niger Trigger and a Clown or Queen Trigger. I am worried about the Clown or Queen Trigger jumping on my Q.Angel thou.I plan on having: Queen Angel , Yellow Tang ,V. Lion , V Tail Grouper , ****** Trigger , and a Clown or Queen Trigger in my 250. |
what are the dimensions of the tank?
I thought these were 'full' tank shots, not half the right side only pics.....
nataz I think you will be fine with either a queen trigger or a clown trigger.Queen angel are very mean in there own right they have no problem chasing my 12 inch queen trigger and the angel is only 7 inches.Your stock list sounds fine. jmccown The dimension of my tank are 60Lx36wx30t AquaKnight407 man you guys are rough, I am in the middle of moving 1200 gals of saltwater tanks those pics were the only ones I had time to take. I will take some more today and post them,if you would like I could take a pic of every fish invidualy. I still have more setting up to do on this tank incuding aquascaping.

reefer334,
Thanks for taking the time to reply, and Great Tank!!! |
Great pics man. Seeing all of your guys together, I'm feeling a little braver about adding another fish or two into my tank.
Looking forward to the whole tank shots. |
Reefer334 I love the picks :)
I am curious what your plan is for the titan? |
Yeah, Titan's get bigger than probably any other trigger. I believe 36" if I'm not mistaken. I've seen some HUGE ones on youtube
If my Titan gets that big and lives that long I will donate him to Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco or Monterey bay Aquarium.I also have a stellatus puffer that gets 4 feet and I wil do the same with him. Queen trigers get over 2 feet so what are going to do with your queen when it gets to big jimccown, I will put mine in my future fish lagoon.
I don't think a queen trigger will ever reach that big in home aquaria, unless they are given a HUGE tank. Don't get me wrong, they do get huge. I've seen monstrous ones at the Chattanooga aquarium. I remember seeing a thread on here about a 20 year old queen trigger that had been in a 220g tank for the same period of time under the same owners' care. Mine is downright huge, 18" not including streamers that are longer than most of my tangs in my other tank. I have her in a 150g all by herself with plans to upgrade soon to a 210/220 or so tank. She needs a wider tank than what she is in now. Mine is 6 years old now. I don't know much about the Titans in home aquaria because you hardly ever see them. I have seen several juveniles, but never a large adult in home aquarium. Sounds like you've got things under control with the public aquariums. If mine ever got out of control I have several public aquariums somewhat local as well. Now post up some full tank shots man.

Do all aquariums take people's large fish? I'm wondering what I'll do with mine after it gets too big.
