OT---anyone excited for football season?
 

College starts tomorrow, and pro next weekend (thurs. actually) I am excited--it's the most glorious time of the year!! Go Blue, and Go Cowboys!!!:D I have always liked the Saints as well, so Geaux Saints also!!;)

The Saints have been my team of choice for over 30years.

There is something just wrong about the whole Cowardboys thing....

So much for rooting for your local teams :/

I grew up with the Cards right across I-70 and that organization stinks. Always good players and fans, but its hard to cheer for such a lousy franchise. There is a reason the Show Me state showed them the door. They replaced them with a team that Showed Them a Super Bowl. Its the Bidwell curse. :) I do like Leinart though.

On a tour of California, the Pope took a couple of days off to visit the coast for some sightseeing.

He was cruising along the beach in the Pope-Mobile when there was a frantic commotion just off shore. A helpless man, wearing a blue and orange Bronco's jersey, was struggling frantically to free himself from the jaws of a 25-foot shark. As the Pope watched, horrified, a speedboat came racing up with three men wearing Oakland Raider's jerseys. One quickly fired a harpoon into the sharks' side. The other two reached out and pulled the bleeding, semiconscious Bronco fan from the water. Then using long clubs, the three beat the shark to death and hauled it, too, into the boat. Immediately, the Pope shouted and summoned them to the beach.

* "I give you my blessing for your brave actions," he said. "I have been told about there being bad blood between Broncos and Raider's but now I have seen with my own eyes that this is not true."
* As the Pope drove off, the harpooner asked his buddies "Who was that?"
* "It was the Pope", one replied. "He is in direct contact with God and has access to all of God's wisdom."
* "Well," the harpooner said, "he may have access to God's wisdom, but he doesn't know jack about shark fishing. Is the bait holding up O.K., or do we need to get another one?"

I actually think the Cards finally have a good QB, and amazing WRs. The D is suspect, as is the O-line, and anyone who knows football knows the games are won/lost in the trenches. We'll see what Russ Grimm has in store for this O-line. That is the big factor.
